The evidence
Printed on paper for easy reading — what we searched and what we found.
We searched the official site (matsubaya.cc) — bath, FAQ, house-rules and terms pages — and found nothing about tattoos. We did find a private hot-spring bath, listed on the inn's official site: it may provide an alternative, but the inn has not stated a tattoo rule (our inference). Confirm before booking.
- The inn says its large shared bath has been out of use since May 2025: the hot-spring supply pipe broke and no reopening date is set. Its private baths and the in-room baths of its Tsuki-no-Omoi rooms are still in use.
